Kriegsmarine officer's dagger to Kapitänleutnant Dipl. Ing. Werner Grotsch. The dagger comes directly from his son and has never been on the market. Werner Grotsch served with a Schnellbootflottille during WWII. After the war, he continued his service with the German Navy (Bundesmarine) and was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The dagger comes with an etched blade to two sides. It shows naval motifs and ornaments. "WKC" maker marked. An orange handle with intact wire wrapping. No damage. Attached officer's portepee. Gilt brass hilt fittings. The pommel can no longer be fastened 100 % (slightly loose). No dents to the "lightning" scabbard. Made from brass.
