M38 Kriegsmarine officer's dagger

Description

A late war WWI Imperial German Navy dagger for naval cadets. Worn by Leutnant zur See Rolf Krebs. Rare to find!

The dagger comes with an etched blade on both sides showing fine ornaments and naval motifs. "WKC" maker marked. Light stains on both sides.

A genuine horn grip chip without chipping or cracks. Gold-plated iron fittings. From 1917 it was forbidden to use brass. The dagger also has a "cut-out" crown (pommel). Apoted by the recipient to be worn as an officer's dagger.

Original gold-plated steel scabbard, which is free of dents. A so-called "lightning" scabbard. His name "Krebs" is engraved on the top. One screw is missing.

Signs of use.

Length: 49.5 cm (long type).
