Nickel-plated steel blade showing the maker's mark of Peter Daniel Krebs Solingen. Stains on both sides.
Black wooden handle with inlaid police eagle. Nickel-plated iron hilt fittings. "SS" stamped on the crossguard. Original black finished leader's scabbard with nickel-plated iron fittings. The bottom of the lower fitting is not closed. Probably the lower fitting was added later when the NCO became the leader. The sword and the scabbard have the same patina.
Comes with a police leader's portepee. NCOs often wore their "old" swords after they became leaders.
