A very early, 1936 dated, Panzer visor cap for an EM/NCO. It comes with period time attached insignia and is Panzer-Regiment 6 unit marked.
Both, cap eagle and wreath badge are from tombak and nicely matching in patina and condition. The zinc Edelweiss is absolutely matching as well. Why he had worn it on his cap is not clear. Maybe as a tradition badge.
The cap was made by Hoffmann, Berlin. "G.A.HOFFMANN" maker marked as well as 1936 dated. Furthermore, there are unit markings to the inside of the sweat-band: "4.Kp." and "I./Pz.R.6".
Pink piping. Green cap band. Typical orange color lining with a "55 1/2" size marking. Removed celluloid diamond. Sweat-band with nice signs of wear and patina.
Some moth damage to the rear of the cap (covered area).
