Luftwaffe officers'-pattern side-cap (ie. 'Schiffchen') as was intended for usage by the various Luftwaffe commisioned- ie. officer-staff.
The piece is executed in (typical) 'Garbadine'-like- and/or bluish-coloured wool and shows a darker-blue-coloured (and linnen-based, 'silk-like'-type-) lining. The side-cap shows a white-coloured, ink-stamped size-designation (that reads: '57').
The cap shows a hand-embroidered- and silver-coloured, officers'-pattern cap-eagle and EM/NCO-type cocarde in place (which are both original attached by hand-stitching).
The side-cap comes in an overall very nice condition and shows only minimal age and/or wear. It is approximately 57 cms. sized and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head.
