A treasure trove uncovered! A WW2 period time M40 Luftwaffe camo helmet which was shipped home by Coporal Harold R. Kerr to Miss Nerie Mantle, Pensilvania, USA. The helmet was taken as a war souvenir and has survived in its wooden shipping box in excellent prevervation.
M40 helmet with original applied Luftwaffe decal. The helmet shows some wear. The majority of the paint is in place. There is a three color camo paint to the blue factory paint of the helmet. The Luftwaffe decal is about 85%.
Rivets, chin strap and liner original to his helmet. Chin strap 1940 dated and maker marked. Liner size 56 stamped.
Leather still very soft.
