Salty Afrikakorps single decal Heer M40 helmet with a period time camo paint. ET64 marked shell. Matching liner in size 56/57. It looks like it never came of the helmet. The decals is about 70-80% and so is the camo paint.
The liner is well worn but the condition nicely matches the shell. It is not dry and there is no damage. It is Gefr. Geiger (?) named. Someone postwar wrote "8th Panzer-Division" to the liner. This might have happened decades ago and was probably done by an English collector. This helmet was probably a bring-back of a British Afrika veteran. The chin strap is original but might have been added to the helmet at a later time. It is RB-number stamped.
A very rare Afrikakorps helmet in good condition. A classic -been there- example!
