A nicely worn helmet which was overpainted in the field! Fieldgrey color was brushed to the outside and inside (up to where the liner starts) shell. The eagle decal was covered. There is no only about 25% of the eagle remaining. The liner looks to be original to the shell. The rivets show the same color than the rest of the shell but the structure is more smooth since it was worn off here.
Fine leather lining. Size 56. Soft. No cord.
1940 dated chin strap. Sfot. No damage.
No markings visible to the shell due to the period time paint added.
