Description

Consigned by the son of the veteran and never available on the market before! Werner Schröder was born in 1917. He joined the RAD in 1938. After finishing his larbor service time he was called to the Luftwaffe and was part of the Poland Campaign. In May 1941, he was shot down as an observer over Crete (Kreta) and has lost one leg. After a long time he needed to recover at a hospital near Munich, he spend the rest of the war as a reserve officer and student.

Nicely worn tombak badge. Unmarked.

Including two scanned portrait photos (when asked via email) of Schröder as a Leutnant as well as a hand-written note of his son. Please see last picture.
