Heer field tunic for Generals


Description

Personal field tunic of Generalmajor Heinrich Kleinschroth. Kleinschroth served as commander of Gebirgs-Nachrichten-Abteilung 54 from the beginning of WWII. He was later promoted a Generalmajor in October 1943 commanding "Heeres-Nachrichten-Schule I" still wearing his Edelweiss badge for tradition reason. In August 1944, he became chief of Zentral-Amtsgruppe WaA.

Dipl.Ing. Heinrich Kleinschroth was awarded the German Cross in silver as an Oberst serving with Armee-Nachrichtenführer (9. Armee).

A privately purchased field tunic designed like an M36 field tunic with a dark green collar and vertical bars to all pockets.

Breast eagle: hand-embroidered general's pattern. Accurately attached by hand.
Collar tabs: fine general's tabs period time attached by machine. No corrosion.
Shoulder boards: sewn-in. Excellent. Nice patina. No corrosion. 
Sleeve badge: Officer's Edelweiss badge. Hand-embroidered. Attached by hand. 

Lining. Fine silk
Name tag / tailor's tag: He used a personal stamp with his address to name the tunic twice. To the inside pocket and the lining of the sleeve.
Buttons: Complete. Original attached.

Award loops: Two loops for his German Cross in silver as well as three pair of loops for additional awards.

A very rare tunic! Some moth damage.
