Heer officer's field tunic for a Major. serving with a transport oder Truppensonderdienst unit within Division "Großdeutschland". The color of the insignia is a little hard to tell.
Fine private purchased tunic with silk lining. Original attached name tag to the inner pocket. Tailored by "Herpich Söhne". Named to Major Erich Strehl. Date: 17.8.44
Original attached collar tabs. Attached by machine. Matching Major's shoulder boards with "GD" cyphers. Cyphers with all prongs in place from iron. Certainly worn as a set and showing the same patina.
Hand-embroidered officer's breast eagle nicely attached by hand.
Removed "Großdeutschland" cuffband. Treads left as well as clear traces visible.
Unusual style of the cuffs however tailored example this way.
Buttons partially re-attached. Loops for one award and a long field bar.
