Heer ornamented service tunic

Description

Heer four pocket service tunic, a so-called ornamented field tunic (Geschmückte Feldbluse). It is designed with four pockets and cuffs like a normal officer's field tunic but comes with piping around the collar, the cuffs and along the vertical button line. This type of tunic is considered to be rather rare. Button for an Aiguillette under the right shoulder board.

Branch: Gebirgsjäger

Shoulder boards: "Green" color piping. Major rank. Sewn-in type. No damage.
Collar tabs: "Green" color. Officer's type. Attached by hand.
Collar: Dark green. No moth damage to the collar and the piping.

Breast eagle: Hand-embroidered officer's type. Attached by hand.

Buttons: Complete and period time attached.

Sleeve badge: Officer's Edelweiss badge. Hand-embroidered. Attached by hand.

Award loops: Two award loops to the left pocket. Furthermore, a hand attached Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon to the second buttonhole and an East Medal ribbon bar.

A very nice and rare officer's ornamented service tunic in Austrian-Style. Some of the insignias were period time re-attached in course of his promotions.

Moth damage and repair under the right shoulder board.
