Description

This exact tunic is pictured on pages 249-252 of the book “Waffenrock: Parade uniforms on the German Army” by Timothy J. Curley and Neil G. Stewart.

Early 1937 dated parade tunic named to "Reiter Hassemer" serving with 6./Kavallerie-Regiment 6. The cotton lining comes with an "M37" depot stamp, size markings and a "Kneisel" maker's marked. Hand-attached name tag.

Originally attached insignia. Early 1935/36 machine-woven breast eagle on green cloth backing attached by hand. Maschine-attached collar tabs. Machine-embroidered "6" cypher to the "goldgeld" piped shoulder boards.

Obergefreiter sleeve rank badge attached by hand.

Only a very few small moth bites. Medium size.
