Heer parade tunic


Description

Heer Waffenrock "parade tunic" for an Unteroffizier serving with Infanterie-Regiment "Großdeutschladn". A unique design with special cuffs and collar tabs which were only worn by members of "Großdeutschland" like that. The tunic was issued by the depot in 1938 and can be considered rarer than a private purchased example.

Shoulder boards: NCO type. White color piping. Machine-embroidered "GD". Sewn-in. Number "1" buttons.
Collar tabs: Special GD style tabs attached by machine. Non-text book examples of an earlier date.
Collar: Dark green. "White" color piping. NCO tress attached by machine.
Cuffs: Dark green cuffs with three (!) "GD" style patches.

Breast eagle: Machine-woven. Early style around 1938. Attached by hand.

Buttons: All buttons complete.
Lining: Fine silk. Size stamped. "B38" depot marked

Cuffband. Grene machine-woven cuff title "Großdeutschland". This type was only worn with the parade tunic.

Postwar attached loops for medals and a ribbon bar.
Minor moth damage. Overall good condition 2
