Medal Bar consist of Prussia, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Lippe-Detmold, War Merit Cross 1914-1918, bronze gilt, Lippe-Detmold, House Order, Honor Cross 4th Class, 1st Division, with swords, Silver, Silver gilt and enameled, German Empire, so called “Hindenburg Cross” with maker’s mark: “R.V. 24 Pforzheim. The Bar comes complete with red felt backing and needle mount on the reverse.
A very honest medal bar from a Lippe Detmold WWI veteran.
Only an estimated 175 crosses with swords, directly awarded by the House of Lippe Detmold and another 5-joint awarded by both houses, makes this an exceedingly rare combination.
