An unusual 4-place "medal bar" consisting of Prussian Centenary Medal, Prussian Königgrätz Commemorative Cross 1866, Prussian War Commemorative Medal 1870-1871 with seven battle clasps and 1870 Iron Cross 2nd Class with "25" Jubilee Clasp.
(Iron Cross: three-part construction, iron core, original black paint, both prongs of the Jubilee Clasp are in place.)
The medals are attached to a medal ribbon. On the back, there are five small hooks. Made by the recipient to wear it as a medal bar. The Iron Cross has come off the medal bar, you can see the traces (thread).

King Frederick William III of Prussia initially created the Iron Cross as a military decoration on March 17, 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars. The Iron Cross was also awarded during the Franco-Prussian War (1870), World War I (1914), and World War II (1939).
The Iron Cross was usually a military decoration only but awarded to civilians for performing military functions in a few instances.
