The piece is executed in field-grey-coloured wool and shows a (typical) greyish-coloured lining. The cap shows a (vaguely visible) ink-stamped makers'-designation that reads: '….? - 40' and has both venthole-rivets in place (of which one misses its inner-ring). 

 

The cap shows a white-on-field-grey-coloured, 'BeVo'-pattern cap-eagle and darker-green-coloured cocarde in place (which are both re-attached by hand-stitching). 

 

The side-cap comes in a clearly used and worn condition (but is void of any damage) and shows only moderate age and/or wear. It is approximately 56 cms. sized and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head.
