Description

Grouping of Marianne Strehler, the nice of Julius Streicher. Julius Streicher was from 1925 NSDAP Gauleiter of Franconia as well as founder and publisher of the virulently antisemitic newspaper "Der Stürmer". During WWI Streicher served with 6. Bayerisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment and as Leutnant der Reserve with the bicycle infantry (Radfahrtruppe). He was awarded the 1914 Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class. Streicher is known as a painting hobbyist.

A hand-written, 5.4.15 dated letter signed "Jul. Streicher" to his niece "Meinem Patenkinde Marianne". Four pages. 
7.7.1941 dated letter to "Liebe Marianne" with letterhead "Julius Streicher". Signed by "Dein Onkel Julius Streicher" inviting her for a visit. 
22.12.1936 dated letter to "Liebe Marianne" with letterhead "Julius Streicher". Signed by "Dein Onkel Streicher" sending her a Christmas gift. 

Six original drawings of Julius Streicher dating from 1909 - 1911. He painted "Doktor Strehler", the father of his niece several times as well as other family members.

Five photographs. Streicher is shown several times. Two postcards. One postcard dating 20.3.12. There was a big Streicher family meeting at "Gasthof zur Krone Türkheim". Alle family members inkluding Julius Streicher signed to the bag.
