Heer M35 helmet

Description

A German M35 helmet. The earliest type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.

This helmet was consigned a long with a few other pieces directly from the son of the veteran and is available to the market for the first time. He told us that his father used to display his helmet on his desk until his death. The name of the veteran will be fowarded to the buyer.

Paint: Original factory paint. Around 90% stil present. A grey wartime color brushed to the shell period time above the factory paint. That was typically done around 1940 when the helmet color has changed. Inside is still the more early green color.

Decals: The eagle decal about 95%. The national shield was period time overpainted. You can still guess the shape.

Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Size 60.
Unopened prongs. The liner is original to the shell. The inner ring is slightly bend to the left and right side.

Markings: Q68
Inside is an ink size "60" stamp as well as an extremely rare unit stamp which is however hard to read: "11./I.R.186" ?

An absolutely untouched helmet in great condition!
