Description

This century change medal bar from a war veteran of 1866 and 1870/71 war consists of the Military Honor Decoration 2nd Class in silver, the 1866 “Der Main Armee” cross in bronze, the Franco-Prussian War Commemorative Medal in “Steel” and Centennial Medal. All on combatant ribbon. The 1870/71 medal and 1866 cross are private purchase medals, but a typical fit for a medal bar like this. Interesting is the noncombatant medal on the combatant ribbon, showing possibly he use of an 1866 war veteran during a later incident in a more trench removed function.

Terminated with red felt and full needle system. Tailor label from Paul Kuest in Berlin attached to felt.

Great medal bar.
