Oldenburg - Military Honor Decorations War Merit Medal for Men and Women

Description

Oldenburg War Merit Medal, founded on November 21, 1916, by Grand Duke Friedrich August for "Female collectors and helpers of the care of the wounded, who have been active within the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg for at least one year in the patriotic interest and have reached the age of fifteen". Since May 09, 1917, the medal could be awarded to women and men "who have proven themselves and distinguished themselves particularly in the field of war economy within the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg".

Comes with original ribbon of the Oldenburg House Order.
