Fantastic M38 German paratrooper helmet with a period time applied wire. The wire helmet to attach camo material to the helmet. Many period time photos proof helmets were worn like this.
A nicely worn helmet with well over 90% of the original fieldgrey factory paint. A few scratches and light rust. The 3mm thick wire left some scratches as well.
The Luftwaffe eagle decal is about 85%.
All rivets are originally applied and were never opened. The chin straps are period time applied. A nicely worn 1st pattern pair with PRYM 6 marked button. Signs of wear. Still flexible.
Soft leather liner in absolutely matching condition. "Kopfweite: Gr.58" stamped as well as "Baumuster: Heisler, Berlin C2" stamped. "Hersteller: F.W. Müller jr." maker marked.
An untouched helmet!
