Description

Late war Wehrpass to Major Othmar Pollmann serving as commander of II. Bataillon/Grenadier-Regiment 481 and 256. Infanterie-Division. Issued on 16. April 1945. Original attached photo. His units are listed on pages 12 and 13. 

Awards: 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class on 31.5.40, Wound Badge in black on 29.6.40, 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class on 11.11.40, Infantry Assault Badge in silver on 1.12.41, Wound Badge in silver on 18.7.42, East Medal on 24.7.42, Wound Badge in gold on 14.9.42, German Cross in gold on 11.10.42, Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 27.8.43, Close Combat Close in bronze on 14.11.43, Close Combat Clasp in silver on 25.2.1945 and Oak Leaves on 28.2.45. Noted on page 24. 

Promotions: Fahnenjunker - Gefreiter 1.6.37, Fahnenjunker - Unteroffizier 1.9.37, Fähnrich 1.3.38, Oberfähnrich 1.6.38, Leutnant 1.9.38, Oberleutnant 1.8.40, Hauptmann 1.12.42 and Major 1.5.43. Listed on page 22.

Campain list from 1.9.1939 until 8.5.1945. Noted on page 30. He served from the first to the last day of WWII. Including three handwritten pages about his combat missions. Probably written by the veteran himself (postwar). Furthermore a "long" list of his wounds on page 34. The swastika to the front cover was painted over. 

Twenty-five period time photos of his military service. Partially with handwritten information on the reverse. Including an excellent portrait photo of him showing his awards. In addition, a postwar portrait photo. He is wearing the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and the Close Combat Clasp in silver.

Very hard to find.
