Description

Untouched M40 Heer tunic for an Oberfeldwebel serving as a "Spieß". The tunic comes with fully originally attached insignia. A classic wartime tunic which was modified in time to make it look like an M36 pattern for fashion reason!

For this reason, dark green shoulder boards were added. Also, the grey color was period time covered with dark green cloth. Finally, a machine-woven NCO/officer's style breast eagle with dark green backing was attached by machine. It was "zick-zack" attached through the cotton liner. All these modifications were definitely done period time!

Machine-attached white infantry collar tabs and NCO tress. Shoulder boards with white silk piping. Originally attached buttons. Machine-attached "Spieß" tress rings around the sleeves.

Cotton lining with a maker's mark, size stamps and a F41" depot marking. Made in 1941, however, it is still the classic 6-button M40 model.

War Merit Cross ribbon as well as a 5 place ribbon bar attached. One badge was attached through the cloth.

Excellent condition 1.
