Fine grouping to SS-Obergruppenführer and Knight's Cross winner Friedrich Alpers.
Alpers was Gaujägermeister of "Jagdgau" Braunschweig and member of the Allgemeine-SS. SS number 6427. Awarded with SS Honor Sword and Ring. In 1941 he volunteered for the Luftwaffe.On 14. October 1942 awarded with Knight's Cross as commander of Fernaufklärungs-Gruppe 4. In the further course of the war he got the command of the Fallschirmjäger Regiment 9 on the Western Front. On 3. September 1944, he committed suicide at Mons (Belgium) due to a serious wound.

Shorthand symbol Heinrich Himmler written with green pencil (typcial for Himmler) to the top of the letter. Receipt stamp "Persönlicher Stab RFSS". Dated 15. July 1938. One crack to the top. Two holes and folded. Size: 26x20 cm.
