Description

Uniform of the infantryman Markus Steinberger from the 8th Bavarian Infantry Regiment (from 1901: "Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden"), Metz site (1914); consisting of jacket with rifle award, trousers, cap and paddock, plus medal bar with Iron Cross 2nd class, 1914, Bavarian Military Cross of Merit 3rd class with swords, so-called Hindenburg Cross from the production of Lauer/Nuremberg and a Bavarian service award for 9 years as well as iron based wounded badge 1918 in black.

The uniform in worn, but good, somewhat soiled condition, except for the cap; jacket and trousers have a sewn-in tag with the owner names. The medal bar is a nice yet soiled Bavarian style mount.

Sets like this have become rare.
