Medal Bar with real golden Friedrich Order with Swords

Description

Medal bar with 3 decorations, Prussia, Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1914, silver frame with iron core, Wuerttemberg, Fredrick Order Knight 1st Class with Swords in gold and enamel and so-called Hindenburg Cross. All matching ribbons except the Hindenburg cross sharing a Wuerttemberg long service and Hindenburg Cross ribbon. Needle System intact, but no terminating felt.

The Hindenburg cross as bravery decoration was probably added by removing the long service medal or cross from the bar in 1934.

The real golden Fredrick Order Knight Cross is one made by Eduard Foehr. The yellow golden swords are soldered to the red golden cross. The Foehr company delivered a total of 348 knight’s crosses with swords to the orders chancellery (1914: 92; 1915: 225; 1916: 31)

Very rare knight’s cross with a couple of minor surface chips in the reverse cross tips on typical WWI medal bar.
