Description

A very fine privately tailored tunic for a flying troops Hauptmann. Most probably worn by WW1 veteran. There are several loops for a very long ribbon bar (distance 10,5cm). Furthermore, there are two loops for an award attached to the breast pocket. There are buttons around the first button hole which definitely held his Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon. The Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon have have been his 1914 pattern holding the 1939 clasp.

Machine-attached officer's collar tabs attached by machine. Embroidered officer's breast eagle attached by hand. All insignia are definitely period time attached.

Fine purple color. Silk. Including a officer's belt hanger clip.

No moth holes. Very nice condition, however stains to the left sleeve (glue?).

Condition 2+. Medium size.
