zurück - Baden/Bavaria - Medal Bar with Live Saving Medal

Description

Large medal bar with six awards, first an Iron Cross 2nd class, 1914, with silver frame and iron core, followed by a so-called Hindenburg Cross, a Baden silver merit medal, then the rare Bavarian life-saving medal in silver, Prussian general honor decoration 2nd class and finally the centennial medal in untouched original condition.

Terminated on the reverse with brown felt showing some moth holes. Signet of the company Gustav Vietor in Wiesbaden attached to the reverse. Needle system intact. Certainly, a unique combination for an active World War II participant with the Bavarian Life Saving Medal.

The brown felt indicates the bar to be worn on a brown party or SA uniform.

Based on reserch from Wener Bergmann only 185 medals were awarded between 1898-1908.
