Baden - Order of Berthold Knight's Cross

Description

Knight's Cross of the Baden Order Berthold I, gold-filled and enameled, without ribbon. Plaque soldered to the lower cross arm showing the letter "D" for “Doublè” - gold filled. Ring is marked: "SILBER". Flawless decoration without enamel damage and nice grown patina.

Volle states in his work: "The Orders and Portable Decorations of the Grand Duchy and the Republic of Baden", ISBN 978-3-96386-500-8, that only 347 Knight's Crosses were awarded between 1896 and 1918.
