Description

Nice grouping to WWI pilot Karl Braselmann serving with F.A.5 (Flieger-Abteilung 5).

Engraved silver bowl. "800" silver hallmarked on the bottom. The front features the inscription "IHREM VEREHRTEN FLUGLEHRER ZUR FRDL. ERINNERUNG SOMMER 1915 - VON SEEL, LENZ, VON BÜLOW, ESSER, FRHR. VON OW-WACHENDORF, MENGE, SUDER, PERSCH, HEINE, HILLMANN.". Weight: 341 gr.

Imperial German Pilot's Badge. Made from tombak. Hollow-inside, so-called "hohl verbödet". A piece with "been there character" but manufactured postwar.

1914 Iron Cross 1st Class. Three-part construction. Iron core. Original black paint. "FR" maker marked. Replaced pin.

WWI Wound Badge in Silver and Black.

2-place medal bar with 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class and Honor Cross of WWI. With the matching ribbon bar. 

"Alte Adler" (Old Eagles) wall plaque. It was a community of pilots who had made their license before the First World War and joined the club of the same name in 1927.

A picture showing Braselmann in his WWI pilot's tunic. "Lenz" artist's signature. Dated "1915". Framed. Size: 21.5x16.5 cm.

Two period time books. One book has a hand-written dedication from an Unteroffizier to him. Dated "April 1943".

Unknown enamel membership badge. Maker marked on the back.

Two photos of Karl Braselmann. One photo shows him at an advancing age and wearing the ALTE ADLER membership badge. The other photo was taken during WWI and show him with his comrades of the WWI "Fliegertruppe". Both are modern reprints.
