Description

Early SS Service Dagger to Anton Springer, born 11. June 1922. He visited the SS Junkerschule Braunschweig and served with SS Division "WIKING" and "NORDLAND" on the Eastern Front (Kuban). In April/May 1945 he became a prisoner of war in Kurland. The dagger comes directly from the family and has never been on the market.

The dagger comes with a nice blade showing the etched motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue". Made by Richard Abr. Herder. Maker marked on the reverse. Black wooden handle with inserted enamel SS roundel and eagle. Slight chipping around the SS emblem and a fine hairline crack on the reverse. Nickel crossguards. "I" stamped on the lower crossguard. Original black anodized steel scabbard with nickel fittings. Rust stains on both sides but no dents. Only the ball has a small dent. All screws are in place and unopened.
