Nassau - Long Service Cross for NCOs and enlisted men after 10 years of service

Description

The Long Service Cross for Officers and NCOs were created on February 25, 1834. Officers could receive the cross after 25 years, NCO and enlisted men after 10, 16 and 22 years of service. The service had to be consecutive and free of criminal offenses. A special grade for 50 years of service was added in 1856.

Early cross for 10 years of service made from silver in fantastic condition on original ribbon.
