Description

A large bronze bust of Emmy Göring. She was the wife of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring. "F. Otto Hoppe" artist's signature and dated "1939" on the left side. The bust has a crack in the area of the throat (front). Originally mounted on a massive grey marble base. One chip to the bottom.

Height bust: 30 cm (in total 43 cm).

Weight: 16.2 kg.

Ferdinand Otto Hoppe (1882-1967) was a German metal artist and industrial designer. From 1916 he worked for the Alexander Coppel company in Solingen. His task was the production of artistic individual pieces of edged weapons and models for officers' swords. An honorary sword for Feldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg was created during this period. Hoppe is credited with seven important works of art.
