Rare certificate grouping to Ludwig Dettmann. He was a German painter, known for his heroization propaganda works in both world wars. During the Third Reich, he held the rank of an SA-Scharführer and was chairman of the Association of Berlin Artists in 1936 and 1937. In 1935 he was awarded the Goethe Medal for Art and Science. The medal was awarded only 405 times from 1934.
