Description

Grouping to Fallschirmjäger Feldwebel Willi Wolk deployed in Itlay and Crete (Southern Front). Awarded the 1939 Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, Wound Badge in Black, Ground Assault Badge, Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge, and KRETA cuff title. 

Badges

Ground Assault Badge. Zinc. The pin is missing.

Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge. Zinc. "A" (Assmann) maker marked. The pin is missing.

1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Iron core. "7" (Paul Meybauer) maker marked. 

Wound Badge in Black. The pin is missing.

According to our consignor, his awards were damaged during his war captivity. An Allied soldier tore the badges off his tunic.

Three photos, probably taken during his war captivity. One photo also shows armed Italian soldiers. Postcard size.

Fifteen Luftwaffe photos, taken on the Southern Front. The paratroopers wear camo jumping smocks and tropical tunics. Also a shot of a Knight's Cross winner. Various sizes.

Luftwaffe flying troops ID card. Issued on 14.4.1944. Original applied photo. On the back are listed his awards.
