A unique grouping of the Italian actor Franco Brambilla. He became famous for his role as "Mario" in the pro-Fascist film "The Old Guard" (1934). The Italian title of the film is "Vecchia Guardia". Franco Brambilla was born on 25. April 1922 in Rome (Lazio) and died on 17. December 1942 in the Soviet Union.
HJ knife with display stand and letter
The knife was a gift from the HJ Bann 142 Lörrach for his loyalty to the German HJ. Enclosed is the original letter from the HJ Bann. Dated 12. October 1937.
Nickel-plated steel blade showing the etched motto "Blut und Ehre!". "C.D. Schaaf Solingen" and RZM "M/56" maker marked. A small piece of the tip is missing and two notches are on the bottom edge. Stains on both sides. Black bakelite grip plates with inlaid HJ diamond. No chipping. Original black-painted steel scabbard. It has no dents. The leather hanger is in place.
The knife display stand is made of blackened wood with brass fittings. On the front is an engraved brass tag with the text "Zur Erinnerung an die Jugendfilmstunde MARIO mit der Hitler-Jugend des Bannes 282 Hamburg-Ost - 28.11.1937". There is also the HJ diamond on the left side. Length of the stand = 31 cm.

It shows the visit of the actor Franco Brambilla to Germany. He visited several cities in Germany and numerous HJ members and political leaders attended. Among them is a hand-signed autograph card from him. Some of the photos have come loose from the album. Used condition.
