Description

A period time example with an impressive early postwar history. Several bullets have hit the bust!

Large bronze portrait bust. Around 1939/1940. "Ferdinand Liebermann" artist's signature. "Guss Brandstetter München" maker marked. The bust has four dents caused by bullets and a hole between the right eye and the nose. Also "notches" on the nose. 

Heigth: 32 cm.

Weight: 7.2 kg.

Ferdinand Liebermann (1883-1941) was a German sculptor. He sculpted numerous portrait busts of Adolf Hitler. In 1938 he exhibited a total of 16 works at the "Haus der Kunst" in Munich.
