Description

Nice grouping to Kriegsmarine Bootsmann Erich Besener serving with Kommandant der Seeverteidigung Attika. Awarded the U-Boot War Badge 1918.

Certificates to 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, WWI Wound Badge in Black, War Commemorative Medal of the German Navy Association, Honor Cross of WWI, and WWII Wound Badge in Black.

Certificate to 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords. Issued on 12.1.1942. Signed by Admiral Wilhelm Marschall, Pour le Mèrite winner. 

Six original photos. Among them are three nice portrait photos and in two photos he wears the U-Boot War Badge 1918.

U-Boot War Badge 1918. Solid zinc badge. Remains of the original gilding are present. No maker's mark. Slightly corroded on the front. 

3-place medal bar with 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, Honor Cross of WWI, and Bulgarian Medal of Merit in Silver.

Wound Badge in Black.

Two ribbon bars and a 2-place medal bar (the medals are missing).

Kriegsmarine visor cap wreath with cockade. EM/NCO type.
