A rare Third Reich sabre which was worn by a Thuringian official.
Made by Alexander Coppel, Solingen. Maker marked to the blade. Brass hilt fittings with a black celluloid grip. No chipping and the wire wrapping is intact. The langet features the coat of arms of Thuringia with a swastika. Furthermore "258" numbered.
Black period time repainted steel scabbard. Also "258" stamped.
Slight dents in the scabbard and the blade shows signs of use.
