Description

Fantastic uniform grouping to an SS-Scharführer serving with SS-Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 5 which was part of 5. SS-Panzer-Division „Wiking“. The Wiking division was the only unit which had branch piping around the collar tabs.

Unworn "Sturmgeschütz" (assault gun) wrapper made from Italian gabardine. This cloth is known to have been used by tailors and factory from 1943 onwards. Machine-attached collar tabs with red silk piping. Machine-embroidered pattern. The rank pipe was stiched through the collar. Machine-woven "Bevo" pattern sleeve eagle. "Zick-zack" attached by machine.
Red piped (cotton) shoulder boards in matching condition. Slip-on pattern. Machine-embroidered "Wiking" cuff title attached by machine.

All buttons complete and originally attached. Fine grey color silk lining. Size marked. Four "5" numeric cyphers with intact prongs inside the inner pocket.

No moth holes. Unworn condition. Medium size.

Waffen-SS EM/NCO M43 field cap. Again tailored from Italian gabardine. Size "58" stamped as well as "M44" marked to the fine silk lining. Machine-attached woven cap insignia. Perfectly matching the tunic in quality and condition.

An extremely rare grouping!
