Impressive Portrait of a Colonel with all his medals and decorations bridging two World Wars. Besides his ribbon bar featuring the Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1914, the Oldenburg Friedrich August Cross with bar “Vor dem Feinde”, the so-called Hindenburg Cross, probably navy long service medals or crosses as well as the Sudentenland medal, he wears the Iron Cross 1st class, 1914, with repetition clasp, repletion bar to the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Ridding badge and submarine badge WWI.
