Document grouping to Knight's Cross winner Major Dietmar Wahl serving with Grenadier Regiment 282. He was awarded the Knight's Cross on 26. July 1943. He died on 13. August 1943 in Simferopol on the island of Crimea from the several injuries he suffered during the battle at the Kuban bridgehead. The lost consists of:
1. Certificate of appointment as Lieutenant. Issued on 20.April 1937. Original ink signature by Generalfeldmarschall Werner v. Blomberg. With embossed eagle. Folded. Condition 2.
2. Certificate of Appointment as Oberleutnant. Issued on 31.August 1939. Facsimile signature by Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch. With embossed eagle. Folded. Condition 2.
3. Examination booklet "Reichssportabzeichen" with the entry of the award in bronze. Issued on 11. November 1935. With original attached photo. Condition 2.
4. Examination booklet for the German Horsemen's Badge with entry of the award in bronze. Issued on 2. November 1938.
5. A brief report of "Gruppe IV der Heerwesenabteilung" from 25.September 1943. "A Soviet Major Attack Smited - How Major Wahl Acquired the Knight's Cross", with a detailed report of the fighting in the Kuban Bridge Head near Krymskaja.
6. Letter of condolence from Colonel and Regiment Commander Karl Faulhaber (Knight's Cross winner) to Wahls wife, 1.10.1943. Issued on 1. October 1943. Original ink signature. Folded. Condition 2.
