Description

A Bavarian Gendarmerie bayonet (Seitengewehr) M 1899. So-called "Extrasäbel".

It comes with an etched blade to two sides showing ornaments as well as the inscription "IN TREUE FEST". "WKC" maker marked. Furthermore, the etched name of the merchant from Munich "JOS. VIERHEILIG MÜNCHEN". Brass basket hilt with a ray skin finished grip. Including the matching portepee.

Leather scabbard with brass fittings. The lower fitting is loose. Please note that the blade can no longer be pushed completely into the scabbard.
