Early M36 field tunic for a Gebirgspionier with the rank of an Obergefreiter issued in 1939. "M39" depot marked (München), as well as maker marked and size, stamped to the cotton lining.
Originally machine-attached EM collar tabs. The right collar tab is secured with a few stitches but the machine sew is still there.
Later Pionier shoulder boards. Silk lining. To slip-on. Breast eagle re-attached by hand, however, a correct M36 pattern eagle. Machine-embroidered Gebirgsjäger sleeve eagle. Postwar attached by hand. The rank insignia looks period time attached by hand.
All buttons complete but not all period time attached. Including a collar protection band.
