Description

A stunning Heer officer's sabre with etched blade. Made by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. This sabre was not yet in any collection and for the first time on the market.

Perfect gold plated handle fittings with a lion's head on top. Real ray skin finished grip. Intact wire wrapping. The obverse langet features a raised Wehrmacht eagle (separately attached). The end of the crossguard (quillon) also displays a lion's head.

The scabbard comes with the original paper packing. Wrapped around the scabbard. "Walter" named. Including the original "Eickhorn" sales banderole. "60757-98" numbered. Period time black factory paint. No dents.

Including the matching officer's portepee and cloth bag.

An absolutely untouched sabre. Very hard to upgrade!

The sabre was found in the former business premises of the company Franz Jagritsch from Klosterneuburg (Austria). We also offer some sales documents from this retailer in our 34th auction. Please note the article number 2000000429533.
