Description

French officer's sword? Unknown. Etched blade. "Made in England" marked on the back of the blade. The hilt is slightly loose. Leather scabbard with brass fittings. Including portepee. Condition 3. Length: 96 cm.

South American bayonet. A so-called "Faschinenmesser". German made. "Ernesto Kalkühl Solingen" maker marked. Furthermore "GUARDA CIVIL" and "P.D.F." marked on the blade. Solid metal handle (non-magnetic). The crossguard shows also the "GUARDA CIVIL" emblem. Leather scabbard with gilt metal fittings. Length: 65 cm. Condition 2-.

From about 1920 to 1950 the company Ernesto (Ernst) Kalkühl produced edged weapons and steel products mainly for the South American market.
