Heer / Luftwaffe camouflaged (but non-reversible) helmet-cover ('Stahlhelmbezug') being a example that was constructed from fairly thin-shaped linnen in so-called: 'water'-pattern ('Sumpftarn-Muster').
The piece is clearly used and worn and shows the obvious signs of having been extensively used: it shows minimal faded colours and shows a single hole (sized 4 x 2 cms.) and damaged (torn) area were the front of the helmet was positioned when worn (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside shows a clearly visible ink-stamp that reads: 'R.B./Nr. 0/2818/19130' and retains its period cord installed.
The overall piece is, however, still in an overall complete and most certainly collectible condition.
