Large white glazed porcelain figure "Heerpauker im Gallop" (Heer drummer galloping) made by Katzhütte (Thüringen) based porcelain manufacturer Hertwig & Co.
The figure has a numbering but no maker's mark on the bottom.
Both percussion mallets can be removed and they are intact.
The 42 cm tall figure has small chips on the fists where the drummer is holding the beaters. Underglaze crack where the tail is, and multiple cracks (underglaze) on the mane.
Some glaze has come off the right stirrup, the left hind leg, and under the pedestal.
