Prussia - "4. Garde Feld-Art.-Rgt." sabre & "Blücher" cavalry sabre


Description

Prussian artillery sabre to a member serving with 4. Garde-Feldartillerie-Regiment. 

Etched blade to three sides. It shows fine ornaments and crossed cannons as well as the inscription "4. Garde Feld-Art.-Rgt." on a blued background. Nickel-plated iron hilt fittings. Real ray skin finished grip with intact wire wrapping. The scabbard is missing.

Length: 97 cm.

Signs of use. Condition 2-3.

Prussian "Blücher" cavalry sabre M1811. 

"W 97" marked on the back of the blade. "FUT" stamped on the bottom of the blade back. "Erfurt" (Gewehrfabrik) maker marked as well as "Ottomer ?" marked on the other side. Both marks are very hard to read. Several acceptance marks. 

A leather finished wooden grip. Iron hilt fittings. "1./59." stamped on the crossguard. Steel scabbard. Also "1./59." stamped. A few small dents. Including the matching leather hangers.

Length: 97 cm.
